All purgatorial experiences must come to an end sometime...

And so ends my time in hell as I count down the hours and minutes of my last day at Charter fucking Communications. Screw you, corporate evil!

While I'm at it, I shall send a nod to my newest blog link, Daily Brane, a longtime family friend. I like subversive, strange and somewhat controversial people. I would have been a good friend of Marx's. Now, Brane resides just this side of evil, but that is part of the charm. I've known him, loved him or hated him since the first time we met, he chunking a block of ice at my brother's head when we were but wee little elementariaries. I told Ray to never speak to him again and he remained in my Total Freaking Brat category for many years. Which explains why I dumped the curtain on his band mid-song in the high school talent show I was student director of. However, once I grew up I came to really appreciate his *uniqueness* and deeply regretted being such a bitch. Now, I abuse him every chance I get. :) Check him out. Like me, you'll be intrigued.

Tata little peoples. I shall write more later.

"Will Work for Food" Owner and Operator

Actually, I have my resume out and have a line on a couple of things. I will transition quickly and smoothly. I hope. :)

Hey, keep your eyes peeled here. I'm going to be publishing my Exit Interview, which I hope will make for interesting reading.

Hope things do go quickly and smoothly.
I am either sending positive vibes your way or moving little rocks on the surface of Mars, not sure which, I didn't get the hang on this mental powers thingy yet. But I sure wish things turn out ok for you.

Thanks for the nod, my intellectual inferior ;) just kidding. ... but, you did misspell my name, or brain, whatever. Daily Brane? Come on... Oh, alright. I'll let it slide... this time.

Sorry to hear about the job. I worked at Johnson Tech for 3 and a half years and quit suddenly with probably the same amount of satisfaction as you have.

Good luck with the hunt.

Now admit it, that free cable is going to be hard to part with.

I don't have cable and don't miss it a bit. I had satellite for a few years.

One time I didn't get my bill. I had my old bills so I sent them the $40 or whatever it was. 2 days later I got the bill and they arbitrarily jacked up my rates by about $4.50 a month. I figured since I already sent them a check, I'd wait until next month to make up the $4.50. They shut me off and sent me a nasty form letter saying that if I didn't pay the $4.50 within 10 days or so, they would turn it over to collections. I wonder if they are still waiting for their money? I didn't agree to the increase in fee and wasn't offered an option of cancelling service rather than paying an increased rate. I would have paid the extra %10. Rhonda and the kids like TV. The way I see it, they charged me an undisclosed increase after I had recieved the service for the month. I don't feel I owe them the $4.50 and it doesn't show up on my credit report.

I don't need or want any of that crap any more. However, I would like to build a big ol' antenna so I can get in the local stations better. Just gotta get my butt motivated.
