I said, "I want," and he said, "No."
I said, "I need," and he said, "Later. Maybe."
I said, "Hey, that doesn't work for me!" and he said, "Too bad, I'm God."
"Ok," I said, "You said specifically that if a son asked for bread you would not give him a stone. Now, what exactly do you call this?!?"
"It's all-knowing goodness. You just don't know it yet."
God and I, we are just fussin'.

"dedicated to spreading the joy of narcissism"
Narcissism is cool. I love me. Someday, Laura, you may be worthy of my shadow. Keep truckin along.
isa, ise: oooo....better not let God hear ya talkin' like that!
SuperDad: HI!!! I like the link to "Jamie's intellectual-er than Laura's page" :) I'll have to let that one go....or one better ya!
Life isn't a cosmic coincidence, it has a point. It's a game. It's better to figure out the rules as soon as possible and start playing to win.
You don't want what the losers get (think 'Constantine').
The first five minutes of Constantine was better than all the rest of it. Let's hope life does not follow suit.
Warily,

And of course no one ever helps...God doesn't provide people around you who try to fill in the gaps and who do all they can to help...just sayin'. By the way, I pray for you a lot and if it helps at all, I am very proud of the way you are willing to endure hardship for the sake of your children. Many women in your position would have given up long ago, or turned to very unwholesome forms of comfort. Now I know you are probably feeling all prickly because of my first sentence, but hear ye hear ye....as long as I am alive I will always help you in whatever way I can. Not to take away your right to kvetch, I just want you to know those of us who love you feel your pain.
:) Not offended. As a matter of fact, I used to refer to you as my wife. You know, I go out and earn the money, you take care of the kids. Problem is, I'd really like to be available to raise my children and still somehow earn a living. Don't mind working full time, but garsh....I'm not making enough money to stay afloat. Anyhoo, I'm not offended. And I DO appreciate the help!
Earn a living AND raise your kids?!I'm afraid us single moms don't have the choice, Rowlings notwithstanding. It sucks, but there it is. It's too late. That's why I'm a working single mom - I made the wrong choices.
So my daughter is going to live out all of my dreams for me. :::maniac cackle:::
You are too bright and too witty to be wasting away in some air-deprived office. We need air, we need light, we need....well, I'llkeep it G-rated.
um...i kind a like this. it's unique and shows imperfection vs perfection. am i making sense? you know me, i am not very good at explaining stuff. ;)
