Bereft

I guess I can just thank myself. After all, I am the one who made the statement about my blog not being important or fun anymore. So, I really only have myself to blame for my lack of readership. That and neglect. However, I did find out that I'm getting readers (or clickers only, perhaps) from some place that rates my blog highly. Interesting, considering I haven't been writing lately for the most part and what little writing I have done is, well.....not riveting.

So, am I now bereft of readers, or will the trickle coming from that referring URL save my blog? Ah, it is a question that causes even the angels to weep. Sniff sniff.

I'm reading - just too tired to think of a good comment

I'm reading, but I don't feel qualified to give my housewifely opinion on the subjects you discuss. I think you are probably going to get more readers and commentators (or is that common-taters?) when they realize not only are you back, but you are back to your socio-political self!

You must've heard my wah-wah-wah all the way to Muskegon! I'm ashamed of myself, talk about begging for a comment. I should take my whining self back to bed. All I need is a clean diaper, bottle and my crib!

Sorry that was me. As a published author, I couldn't tolerate having a grammatical error hanging out for all the world to see.

As for your current dilemma, Ms. Bunnyjo, one thing you're going to have to consider is that blogger is no longer fashionable. We live in a myspace world, now, baby.

You're basically driving an Edsel.

It's very hard to attract readers these days, not to mention getting them to comment. Whenever I come across a new blog, I usually notice that they have 0 comments on every post. So I kind of think that people who are still blogging are only doing so for their own gratification (as opposed to doing it for their adoring fans).

But hey, you've always got us, right?

I agree with your interpretation of the situation, bones. One can't have fans when fans are not to be had. Most hits I get on my blog are from people doing Google searches for particular information - rarely do they ever hang around to find out what I have to say.....the lack of readers, which, speaks to the purpose of my blog. It has always been sort of writing practice for me. The content was secondary to the process (despite all evidence to the contrary); I just wanted to keep my "hand in." Now, I suppose, I either have to reconcile my soul to existing without the screaming masses slavering for my mental fare, or begin to write seriously. Since I do not have the time for writing seriously....reconciliation is my only option. ?

Awwww....shorty! How sweet! No one has ever said they heart my blog. I'm...I'm....verklempt, I am! Now that I know there is some love out there for this filthy rag of a blog, I shall neglect it no longer! Inspired!

Shorten-whatever - I fixed that problem like weeks ago. I think you're just being a snob by hanging out on the cerebral blog and making excuses why you can't come to my poor blog.
