A Peek into the Depths

Oh, I am so totally busted. My friend, Miss Lisa, sent me a link to a "romance quiz." This quiz asked questions I wouldn't have whispered into the eagerly awaiting fuzz of my pillow! However, since her quiz came back 100% accurate, I decided to give it a shot. And be completely, completely honest. Ouch.

So, here is the result. I am sharing it with you, dear readers, so that you know that even perfection can be vulnerable. Again, my only motivation is to encourage you that you too may someday reach the pinnacle of existence, the place where excellence abides. Where I live.

Romantic Personality Type: The Sonnet
Description: Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLDf)

Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed?

Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.

Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so.

You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.

Right!
That way all those humans out there can follow your steps into their deepest...wait a second, did I read right? Impossibility? Hey, I am happy, my wife is happy (she is nodding so), what the hell do you mean by impossibility?! Whatever.
Maybe you just didn't find it yet.

Dear DCveR, do you mean to say that you are a happily married American couple? Have you contacted Guiness yet?

Ok, before anyone says anything, yes I do know I spelled Guinness wrong.

Who says I am american?
I am actually portuguese, thank God.
Other from that, yeah.
Happily married, for four years now, though we have been together for ten, and I guess the papers, the ceremony and all that stuff amounts to pretty much nothing.

BTW, my dear... it also takes two to ruin a relation!
Get my point?
And no, we are no rich, yes we both have careers, no we are not dating other people, yes we act like kids most of the time, no we are not ugly, yes we are pig headed some of the time (but not both at the same time, usually), no we don't think we belong in the Guinness book.
Any more questions?!
:-)

Mr DCveR, it does appear that you have a pretty good life with your wife, which makes you really, really unique in my experience (kudos). However, I have known a few happy couples in my lifetime. My own romantic happiness? It is still written in the stars whether or not I will one day find lasting happiness with someone. I must say, though, if I could follow in your footsteps, I would be doing well. I like the part about "we are no rich, yes we both have careers, no we are not dating other people, yes we act like kids most of the time, no we are not ugly, yes we are pig headed some of the time (but not both at the same time, usually)." It sounds nice.
