Crabby people

Here's a statement that should not need stating: just because you don't feel good or don't want to be at work, you needn't be crabby to your co-workers. Everyone has to go to work on days they don't feel well or would rather be in bed or with loved ones. Sometimes we even have to go to work when we have serious trouble at home, or have grave concerns over loved ones. But either way, it is, number one, not your co-workers fault you have to go to work, so don't take it out on them. Number two, you have to be there so you might as well make the most of it. Even if you can't bring yourself to - heaven forbid - enjoy yourself, you can still be pleasant and cordial. 'Nuff said.

Although the person I'd like to read this doesn't read my blog. Sigh.

Very well stated. I have unfortunatly fallen into the category a time or two. Though overall I try to stay pleasant.

Roo: Well, we can all fall into the doldrums of working life, but staying there is largely a matter of choice.

Ms. Blithe: I see I struck a chord! Don't worry, I'd love you even if you were a Crabby Patty.

I agree. Totally, completely.

But I worked in 2 creative jobs where it was quite accepted to be dramatic and so on.

I guess there's a difference, dramatic as opposed to downright nasty.

Hm, plot, scheme...how do you let that crabby person know...hmmmm...
