Oh, a GRAND time was had by all at Pynhead's in Whitehall on Saturday night. There was karaoke (I sang "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover"), bowling and LOTS of dancing!
L to R: Brook, (unknown), Grace, Megan, Emily, Shawn and Jamie (Shortensweet) doing the Casper Slide. Check out that expression on Jamie's face! Scary! Jazmine, Emily and Brook get totally wild on that dance song from "Napolean Dynamite." Emily regaled the crowd with her wackiness. But THAT's a separate post altogether!
Aint' she sweet? She's hanging with Brook and Jazmine here.
I think the girls are doing the twist or something here. Aren't they cute?
Getting wild and breaking it down during "Stacy's Mom." These girls are surprisingly good singers. They didn't even need me!
"Y-M-C-A! Y-M-C-A-YAY!"

Hurry up.Speaking of pics taken on Sat. night. I've got one (that will never get posted) that you've got to see of Township Timmy. You know..your lover boy..
I wish I could've been in some of those pictures. Our saturday night was SO FREAKING LAME!
Jamie, email me the pic of my lover boy. *wink*wink*
Chill: I wish you guys had been there. It was a real "chill" time and everyone had soooo much fun. You'll see...check the pics!
Oh yeah, now I see, we missed a heckuva one.
you did..it was sooooooo much fun.
Free pop refills all night, a pep. pizza and it was less that $10 for all that. The kids have a blast dancing and singing.
Yep..you missed it. :)
I envyyyy people who can just go up and sing. 50 ways to leave your lover is not an easy tune, at least for me.
All you folks having fun makes me miss my family in America & England.
50 ways is a good song btw, even one of the few grands from the eighties, I'ld never dare to perform it, not even beyond drunk! Point for courage!!
I am so happy the new owner is family-oriented. Yes, the Veenie babies should have been there, you would have had fun, but hopefully we will all be there again soon.
How could I forget...the kids were great. They were the life of the party. They never cease to amaze me. All of them have talent and none of them are afraid to show it. Most of all, they are learning to have fun in a wholesome atmosphere with music that isn't too adult-oriented. Keeping in mind, they all know and can sing adult songs, just not the off-color ones. What an excellent alternative to the Saturday night "What movie shall we watch" deal.
P.S. Don't forget to check out emmado and candygirl9's new blog entries.
GG: Due to my recent illness, it didn't exactly go off without a hitch, and I got my phrasing off, buuuut...I shall improve next time!
ISA: I sang it because it reminds me of my dad since I have a memory of him playing pool while this song was playing. Perhaps if I'd had some drinks I would have done better...
Mom: They are better than many adult singers, which was a real surprise to me! It's that early karaoke training they've gotten! :)
FYI - Same time, same place as last week. Be there..or cry because you missed another week.
The Veenie Babies are sooooooo there. What about Grace and Emily? Do they have 'previous obligations?'
I'm gonna sing 'Mr. Roboto', 'There's a Tear in my Beer', 'Girls Just Wanna have Fun', and 'Baby got Back'.
Cuz I'm a karaoke SUPE-STAAA! (arms raised, eys focused on the horizon, just above the crowd)
'Born to be Wild', 'D-I-V-O-R-C-E', 'Rocky Top', 'Warpigs', 'Blue Suede Shoes' (Mom, you writing these down? Consider these my request slips) 'Frosty the Snowman', 'Puff the Magic Dragon', 'American Pie', 'Do that to me one more time', 'Play that Funky Music Whiteboy', 'Copa-Cabana', and time permitting, the complete score from 'Cats'.
3 New Karaoke Rules I Just Made Up:
1. Fill out a slip yourself
2. Fill out a slip yourself
3. Fill out a slip yourself
That's all! Love, Mom
Don't forget, I'm too sexy and Like a Virgin.
